Cubs

For Cubs, excitement and adventure are key. Their programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; whilst allowing them to be creative and get involved in their local communities. Cubs are introduced to exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences.

The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers. Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 ½. There is flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 7½ , and can move to Scouts between age 10 and 11.

We have two Packs:

Early Cubs – We meet on a Wednesday between 4:45PM and 6:15PM

Late Cubs – We meet on a Wednesday between 6:30PM and 8:00PM

If you would like to enrol your child, simply Contact Us or use our Calendar to see if we will be available at any local events.

The Cub Scout uniform can be purchased from a number of locations. If you prefer to shop online, take a look at The Official Scout Shop, or The Scout and Guide Shop. You can go in person to the store at the Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre in Chapeltown or the Scout and Guide Shop in the centre of Sheffield. Use the links provided to see details of their opening times and get more specific location details.

The Cub Scout badge locations are as shown on the PDF document located here. If you would like to see what the ‘Membership Award’, ‘Group Badge’, ‘Group Name Tape’, ‘District Badge’ and ‘County/Area/Region Badge’ look like; these are shown on the About Us page.

We offer a badge sewing service for those that aren’t able to (or don’t want to) sew badges on uniforms. The details are on our Fundraising page.
